This Week @ the Roswell Library

Wondering what to do next week?  First and foremost, stay cool and drink plenty of water as we weather a record-breaking heatwave.  Longtime Atlantans will remember the summer of 1980 when temps reached the upper 90's for days on end.

Roswell and all of the Atlanta-Fulton Public Libraries will be closed Wednesday, July 4 as we celebrate our nation's birthday.  All libraries will reopen Thursday at their regular times.  For the Roswell Branch, this means 10:00 a.m.

Because of the short week, some branches may have a limited amount of programs available this week.  Visit our website, www.forl.net, for a list of Roswell Library programs or see what's happening at the Central Library and other branches at www.afpls.org.

Join us at the Roswell Library Saturday, June 9 at 2:00 p.m. for a fun afternoon with author Haywood Smith.   To learn more about this popular author, please visit her website:  http://www.haywoodsmith.net/.  For more information, please call the library at 770-640-3075.

This Week @ the Roswell Library

Wondering what to do next week?  Wonder no more - the Roswell Library has you covered!  There will be all kinds of wonderful programs - story times, music programs, ESL, yoga and more.  Plus, a special visit by author Haywood Smith.  For more information about any upcoming programs at the library, please visit our website at http://www.forl.net/libraryprograms.html or call the library at 770-640-3075.

Please keep in mind that the children's programs are extremely popular and reservations are taken a week in advance.  Why reservations?  The big meeting room where the programs take place only holds 100 people.  For safety reasons, the 100 limit cannot be surpassed.  Library staff try hard to balance safety issues while also permitting as many people as possible into a program.  No one likes to turn away a parent or child because the limit has been reached - it breaks everyone's heart.   Thanks in advance for understanding why there have to be limits.
