This Week @ the Roswell Library

Wondering what to do this week?  For the week of October 17 - October 23, we celebrate the Friends of the Roswell Library and Friends groups around the country with National Friends of Libraries Week.   Libraries are busier than ever while budgets are tighter than ever.  Please consider joining the Friends group at your local library and offer your support (time, money, donations) as we stay strong during tough economic times.  Communities need libraries and libraries need Friends groups.

Next week, the popular storytime programs resume, a Scary Cupcakes class for teens and tweens will offer cake decorating fun, the Reading Pals Book Club for 2nd and 3rd graders will meet to discuss Miss Mary is Scary, two Drop-in Needlecraft groups will knit, chat and have a great time, Yoga and Zumba classes will relax you or rock you out, an art class for preschoolers will be taught be the talented folks at Out of the Box Art Studio, ESL classes practice conversational English, a Botany of Chocolate class will teach about chocolate around the world and offer free samples, free computer classes will teach how to use Microsoft Publisher and PowerPoint, and the Noonday Nosh Book Club will read Louisa May Alcott: the Woman Behind Little Women by Harriet Reisen and watch the documentary of the same name following the discussion.

There are always books for sale in the Friends' Bookstore and in the library's lobby. For more information about any of these programs, please call the Roswell Library at 770-640-3075 or visit our website: www.forl.net.
