Rocks in Your Backyard

Do you know those rocks that get caught in the lawnmower or that you trip over in the backyard?  Now is the time to take those pesky stones and turn them into a fun project for the kids!  Join us for Rocks in Your Backyard on Monday, January 30 at 4:00 p.m.  Just bring your rocks, paper and pencil and a creative mind.  Bill Waggener from the Georgia Mineral Society will be here to talk about rocks native to Georgia and help you identify what's in your rock collection.  Ages 4-10.   Registration is required and may be made in person or over the phone by calling the Roswell Library at 770-640-3075.
