Fans of children's literature will enjoy this recent article in USA Today about author/illustrator Jerry Pinkney and his family. Mr. Pinkney recently won the American Library Association's Caldecott Medal (an annual award given to the artist of the most distinguished American picture book for children) for his book The Lion and The Mouse. Mr. Pinkney, along with his wife Gloria, son and daughter-in-law Brian and Gloria, and son and daughter-in-law Myles and Sandra, has created a literary dynasty rich with more than 175 titles between them.
