Roswell Reads Presents: The Civil War in Roswell

Have you ever wondered what life was like in Roswell during the Civil War?  There are two fascinating programs this Sunday, February 27 that will help answer that question.  These programs are free - no reservations required - and are sponsored by the Roswell Reads committee and the Roswell Historical Society, in conjunction with this year's Roswell Reads selection My Name Is Mary Sutter by Robin Oliveira.

The Civil War in Roswell
Sunday, February 27 at 2:30 p.m.
Local Roswell historians read letters to and from Roswell citizens of the Civil War era, giving a sense of place during the War.

Civil War Reenactors
Sunday, February 27 from 2:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m.
Soldiers at camp during the Civil War will demonstrate their daily lives on the grounds of the Roswell Library.
