Turn Homeward, Hannalee at the Roswell Library

Students in grades 4 - 6 have just one week left to read this month's Talk It Up Book Club selection:   Turn Homeward, Hannalee by Patricia Beatty.   This historical novel tells the story of young Hannalee Reed and how she and other millworkers were forced to leave Georgia during the civil war.   If your young reader needs a copy to read before next Tuesday, please call the Roswell Library and staff will be glad to set aside a copy.   This discussion begins at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday, February 15.

Not only can young readers participate the discussion listed above, they - and adults! - can watch a special performance of Turn Homeward, Hannalee by acclaimed storyteller Cathy Kaemmerlen on Wednesday, February 16 at 4:30 p.m.   Join us as we celebrate not only Hannalee's determination to get back home after the war, but Roswell Reads, our community-wide reading program for all ages.
